STUDENTS MOTIVATED TO JOIN DRUG ADDICTION AWARENESS PROGRAMME

Under the banner of Nasha Mukti Chetna Sangh (Punjab) to make the state drug free, a programme was organized at Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Gobindgarh. District Fazilka President Jaspreet Singh, Jasveer Singh, Madanjit Singh and Dr. Amit Kansal discussed the social and economic side effects of drug addiction.

Jaspreet said that an ideal life can be lived only by following the path shown by martyrs Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad and Kartar Singh Sarabha. He inspired the students to stay away from drugs and play a positive role in building the society and nation. The foundation of development of the society is laid from the student life itself. Nasha Mukti Chetna Sangh is continuously making selfless efforts to save Punjab and the country from the deadly effects of drugs. The real meaning of celebrating Independence Day is to liberate society and India from drugs. Telling the students about the importance of moral values, he said that staying connected to our rich heritage and culture is true patriotism.

In the program, the students took an oath to stay away from drugs and pledged that they will never consume drugs themselves nor will they allow any of their friends to fall prey to drugs.

School principal Mohinder Pal Sharma, lecturer Harjit Kaur and other teachers appreciated the selfless efforts being made for building a drug-free society.
