A teenager, identified as Dhanu, resident of village Bhagsar, was killed in a collision between a Rajasthan Roadways bus and a bike on Abohar – Hanumangarh Road on Saturday evening. After the accident, the relatives of the deceased and a large number of villagers reached the government hospital on Sunday and refused to get the post-mortem done until the bus driver was arrested.
During police investigation, the bus involved in the accident was identified as a Rajasthan Roadways bus. Police station in-charge Ravindra Singh Bhiti assured the family members of action and said that efforts will be made to nab the driver. After this the family has agreed to get the post-mortem done on Monday.
According to the information, at around 8 pm on Saturday, Dhanu (15) was returning to village Bhagsar on a bike with his friend Karan (21). While overtaking a vehicle in front of BSF campus, the bike collided with a bus coming from the front. Dhanu died on the spot, while Karan was injured. His condition is said to be out of danger. In the past several accidents had been reported on the same road.
