THREE KILLED AS CIVIL AMBULANCE COLLIDES WITH ARMY VEHICLE NEAR SRIGANGANAGAR

Three civilians died in an accident on Suratgarh–Sriganganagar Road, near Kainchian, at about 5: 30 AM today. An Army spokesman said that a civil ambulance, while overtaking a truck, collided with an Army ALS vehicle coming from the opposite direction on the Suratgarh–Sriganganagar road near Kainchian. The spokesman confirmed that three civilians tragically lost their lives in the accident. Casualties were immediately evacuated with prompt medical assistance.

The Army has expressed deep condolences to the families of the deceased and reaffirmed its commitment to extending full cooperation to civil authorities in the investigation.

Other sources said that the deceased have been identified as ambulance passengers Mahendra Kaur, Laxmi, and Satnam. All three were residents of 5 B Koni village in the Hindumalkot police station area of Sriganganagar. The police have brought the bodies of all three to the mortuary of the government hospital. The post-mortem will be conducted after the family members arrive, and the bodies will then be handed over to them.

The injured Ram Pratap and the driver Rajveer have been admitted to the district hospital in Sriganganagar. After the accident, there was chaos on the National Highway and a traffic jam. With the help of a crane, the police moved the damaged vehicles to the side of the road. Traffic has now been restored to normal.
