TIRANGA YATRA SPREADS THE MESSAGE OF PATRIOTISM AND NATIONAL UNITY

Tiranga Yatra was organised under the banner of Joint Forum of NGOs here.

Convener Praveen Chawla said that patriotic programmes like Tiranga yatra demonstrate the people’s strong sense of belonging to the nation and their commitment to safeguarding the country’s territorial integrity. The organising team included Ranveer Yadav, Lalit Soni, Bharat Goyal, Ram Parkash Mittal and Amit Bawa besides heads of other NGOs.

Earlier MLA Sandeep Jakhar, Mayor Pooja Wadhwa, senior Deputy Mayor Dharamvir Malkat and Deputy Mayor Deepak Chhapola, at Municipal Corporation function, had also appealed citizens to participate in the event stressing the importance of inculcating patriotism among the younger generation and encouraged youth to learn and understand the significance of Vande Matram and the values associated with the national movement.

The Tiranga Yatra commenced from the Gaushala and culminated at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, after passing through the main roads and markets. Tricolour was carried throughout the march by hundreds of people, having a good number of women, community members creating a powerful display of patriotism, unity and national pride. The participants danced to DJ music based on patriotic songs. The yatra was warmly welcomed on the way to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk where floral tributes were paid to the martyrs of the freedom movement.
