TO FULFILL BHAGAT SINGH’S DREAMS, END OF SIXTH RIVER OF DRUGS IS MUST

While celebrating Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh’s 119th birth anniversary here, representatives of various organisations said that the end of the Sixth River of drugs in the state needs to be ensured to fulfill the martyr’s dreams.

A programme was organised at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk here jointly by Sewa Bharti and Bharat Vikas Parishad. Mayor Puja Wadhwa was the Chief Guest, former Mayor Vimal Thatai presided. Besides them, Deputy Mayor Deepak Chhapola, programme convener Praveen Chawla, Sewa Bharti president Sunil Wadhwa, Bharat Vikas Parishad president Kali Ishpujani, Aggarwal Sabha president Bharat Goyal, Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh, RSS Zila Pracharak Mohit, Kulbhushan Hiteshi and Gautam Sharma expressed their views about the life and teachings of Martyr Bhagat Singh. Dozens of prominent citizens offered flower petals to the life-size statue of the martyr and gave a call to youths to distance themselves from all kinds of drugs.

A special mention was also made about the efforts being made by Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation (Led by Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi) in keeping the legacy of Martyr Bhagat Singh in the West Punjab where Bhagat Singh was born and brought up.
