TRIBUTES PAID TO JALLIANWALA BAGH MARTYRS AT LAHORE

 

Attendees at Democratic Lawn of the Lahore High Court Bar pay tribute to Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

The Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation Pakistan organised a programme at the Democratic Lawn of the Lahore High Court Bar to mark the 107th anniversary of the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar, the participants lit candles to remember the great martyrs.

Foundation-chairman Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi, Patron-in-Chief Raja Zulqarnain Advocate former Secretary Supreme Court Bar, Senior Vice Chairman Malik Ehtesham-ul-Hassan, Dr. Shahid Naseer, Khalid Zaman Khan Kakar Advocate, Mian Nadeem Ahmed Advocate, Noor Muhammad Qasuri, Rana Shahid Ali Sabir, and others were present.

The speakers paid glowing tribute to the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh and termed the incident a dark chapter in the history of the subcontinent, which infused a new spirit and momentum into the freedom movement. They stated that even after 107 years, the sacrifices of the martyrs remain alive and continue to serve as a guiding light for future generations.

They said that the unarmed and innocent people of Jallianwala Bagh laid down their lives against oppression and tyranny, laying the foundation of freedom that can never be forgotten. The speakers emphasized the need to renew the pledge to always raise our voices against injustice, oppression, and tyranny, and to carry forward the mission of the martyrs.

At the end of the ceremony, prayers were offered for the departed souls of the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh, as well as for peace, stability, and prosperity in the country
