TWO ACTIVA BORN YOUTH ATTACK AT LIQUOR VEND IN CHANDIGARH THROUGH BOMB LIKE OBJECT

Panic gripped Khuda Ali Sher area of Chandigarh after two unidentified youths allegedly attacked a liquor vend with a bomb-like object. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported in the incident. However, the sudden blast and smoke triggered panic among customers and people present at the spot.

According to preliminary information, two youths arrived outside the liquor vend on an Activa scooter. The youth riding pillion allegedly threw a bomb-like object towards the liquor shop. However, instead of landing inside the shop, the object fell among customers gathered outside and exploded shortly afterwards.

Following the blast, chaos prevailed at the spot, while the two suspects fled from the scene on their Activa. The incident was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras installed in the area.

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. CCTV footage from the liquor vend and surrounding areas is being examined, while people in the vicinity are also being questioned.
Police are probing whether the incident was linked to any personal or business rivalry and whether the liquor contractor was specifically targeted. Investigators are also trying to ascertain the exact nature of the bomb-like object used in the attack. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the two suspects.
