In partial modification of this Administration’s Notification No. 6/1/1-IH(I)-2025/17488-95, dated 30.12.2025 regarding declaring of Public Holidays in the Union Territory of Chandigarh during the calendar year 2026, the 28th May, 2026 (Thursday) will now be observed as Public Holiday in all the Government Offices/Boards/ Corporations/ Institutions including Industrial Establishments under the Chandigarh Administration and also within the meaning of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 on account of Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) instead of Public Holiday already declared on 27th May, 2026 (Wednesday).
