WARRING QUESTIONS SAINI ON SYL, CHANDIGARH TRANSFER

SAYS, HARYANA CM RUNNING WITH THE HARE, HUNTING WITH THE HOUNDS, ASKS PUNJAB BJP LEADERS WHETHER THEY STAND WITH SAINI OR PUNJAB

Face2News/Chandigarh

Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today questioned the Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini about his stand on some long pending issues with Punjab, particularly the SYL, transfer of Chandigarh and Punjabi speaking areas of Haryana to Punjab.
“The way Mr Saini travels and campaigns for the BJP in Punjab is like running with the hare and hunting with the hounds”, he remarked while pointing out that Saini cannot be loyal to the clashing interests of Haryana and Punjab at the same time.

Warring also took a dig at Saini’s poor show in Dhuri where he addressed empty chairs. “Mr Saini’s plight is like that of a frequent guest who soon becomes unwanted and is always unwelcome”, he remarked while referring to frequent visits of Saini to Punjab.

The PCC president noted that Punjab has some serious issues to settle with Haryana. “Every right thinking person would like to know Saini’s position on those issues”, he said, while asking him, “will you give up your unjustified claims for extra water from Punjab and facilitate the transfer of Chandigarh to Punjab which has been denied for a long time?”

Warring also questioned the Punjab BJP leaders that they must clarify themselves also as to what is the position of the Haryana Chief Minister on the long pending issues with Punjab. “Do you stand with the Haryana CM or Punjab?” he asked them.

Warring wondered why did the BJP need the services of the Chief Minister of a neighbouring state with which Punjab has certain contentious issues to settle, when it already has so many of its own, nevertheless imported from the Congress, senior leaders in its stable.
“Or, is it that the BJP has no faith in their loyalty owing to the fact that they have all come from the Congress?” he asked.
