YOUTHS BREAK THROUGH POLICE NAKA, THE SHO CHASES THE DUO, APPREHENDS THEM

Late Wednesday night, the city police took strict action against individuals creating a public nuisance. A police team, led by City-1 Police Station In-charge Inspector Maninder Singh, had set up a checkpoint near Agrasen Chowk. At that moment, two individuals, identified as Tarun and Sahil, arrived at the checkpoint on a Bullet motorcycle, speeding, performing stunts, and making loud backfiring noises (resembling firecrackers). Upon seeing the police, the duo attempted to break through the checkpoint and flee. Alert SHO Maninder Singh personally chased them down and, with the assistance of the team, apprehended both of them.

The police impounded the Bullet motorcycle, took it to the police station, and initiated legal proceedings against the two youths. The SHO said that making loud backfiring noises on a Bullet motorcycle, performing stunts, and creating a nuisance in public places are criminal offenses. He emphasized that such strict action would continue in the future. He appealed to parents to monitor their children’s activities and advise them to refrain from such behavior so that they do not stray onto the path of crime.

A video of this incident has gone viral on social media and has been viewed widely. People said similar action also needs to be taken outside local colleges.
