According to DCP Crime and Traffic IPS Amrinder Singh, a special checking drive was conducted today near the Government School in Sector-21, Panchkula. In the presence of City Traffic Police Station SHO Varinder Singh, the police team checked autos carrying school children. During the checking, 7 overloaded autos were challaned, while 4 autos violating the rules were impounded on the spot. The impounded autos were parked at the Sector-21 Police Post.

Commissioner of Police IPS Pankaj Nain made it clear that overloading in vehicles carrying children to and from school will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
