NO POWER IN THE WORLD CAN STOP ME FROM CARRYING BHAGAT SINGH’S LEGACY: QURESHI

Face2News/Abohar.

Chairman of the Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation Pakistan, Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi, has said, “No power in the world can stop me from carrying Bhagat Singh’s legacy.” He claimed that after the ceremony marking Bhagat Singh’s 119th birth anniversary, he has once again been receiving threats of serious consequences, while the state has failed to provide him with effective protection for his life and property.

Qureshi said that on September 3, 2026, unidentified individuals allegedly abducted him in Lahore, subjected him to violence and issued threats. According to him, the attackers allegedly kept telling him, “You are an agent of India, India provides you foreign funding, and you are an enemy of the country.”

He said that, following the incident, he submitted an application at Mazang Police Station, Lahore, and sought registration of a case against unidentified persons. According to him, an SP and other officials of Mazang Police Station reached the scene, while he was taken to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, where his medico-legal certificate (MLC) was also prepared.

Qureshi said that despite the incident, no effective action has so far been taken against the responsible elements, and he is now once again receiving serious threats. He said that he would not retreat from his principled position or his struggle to promote the ideas of Bhagat Singh because of the threats.

Expressing his determination, he said: “I have only one life; let Him take it, or let God take it.” He said that he had also conveyed his final will to his family that, if he were killed at the hands of these elements, he should be buried wrapped in the national flags of Pakistan and India, because his struggle is aimed at promoting peace, love, brotherhood and historical ties between the peoples of the two countries.

Qureshi said that he would continue his mission of bringing the struggle and sacrifices of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev to the new generation and promoting peace and friendship between Pakistan and India.

He appealed to international human rights organizations, civil society and the relevant authorities to take notice of the threats he says he has received, provide effective protection for him and his family, and conduct a transparent and impartial investigation into the alleged September 3 incident, bringing those responsible to justice in accordance with the law.

Qureshi said, “My struggle is not against any individual or nation; it is for peace, democracy, human rights, and friendship between the peoples of Pakistan and India
