PECOSA ELECTIONS 2026: HARPREET SINGH OBEROI ELECTED PRESIDENT WITH A DECISIVE MANDATE

NEW TEAM TAKES CHARGE OF PECOSA; ALUMNI PARTICIPATION REFLECTS STRONG FAITH IN THE ASSOCIATION AND ITS FUTURE

The results of the Punjab Engineering College Old Students’ Association (PECOSA) Elections 2026 were declared on Monday, marking the election of a new team of office bearers and Executive Members to lead the alumni association. Harpreet Singh Oberoi (Batch 1993) has been elected President of PECOSA with a decisive 1,106 votes (67.7%). His election, along with that of the newly elected office bearers and Executive Members, represents a strong mandate from the PEC alumni community.

The newly elected office bearers are:– President: Harpreet Singh Oberoi, Batch 1993 – 1,106 votes (67.7%)
– Vice President: Sanjiv Moudgil, Batch 1985 – 1,006 votes (62.5%)
– General Secretary: Jorawer Singh, Batch 1990 – 939 votes (57.7%)
– Treasurer: Ashwani Kundal, Batch 2009 – 1,015 votes (63.8%)
– Joint Secretary: Sandeep Gupta, Batch 1988 – 1,036 votes (65.8%)

The 11-member Executive Committee will comprise Mridula Grover Dang, Jaswinder Singh Garcha, Rajiv Gupta, Akshaye Raj Aggarwal, Prabhdeep Singh Sandhu, Vinod Kumar Jain, Sanjeev Jain, Harbhajan Singh Munday, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Vivek Mahajan and Ayush Goyal.

The election results underline the active engagement of PEC alumni across generations, with elected representatives belonging to batches ranging from 1972 to 2018. The newly constituted team brings together alumni from diverse generations, creating an opportunity to combine institutional experience with the perspectives and energy of younger alumni.

PECOSA has congratulated all the newly elected office bearers and Executive Members and expressed its appreciation to all candidates and members who participated in the democratic electoral process.

The new leadership is expected to carry forward the association’s commitment to strengthening the bond between PEC and its alumni and to fostering greater participation, collaboration and engagement within the PECOSA community.
The election marks not merely a change in leadership, but an opportunity to build upon the collective strength of the PEC alumni fraternity and take PECOSA forward with a renewed spirit of unity, participation and service to the institution and its alumni.
