Justice Tribhuvan Dahiya of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, has issued an order staying the Netball Federation of India (NFI) election results. This information was provided by Advocate Amninderpreet Singh, Chandigarh, and Advocate Navraj Singh Mahal, Barnala. They stated that the status of the Netball Federation of India election results will remain subject to further court orders.
They stated that the matter was brought to the High Court by complainant Jagdish Kumar Mittal, IPS, former IG (P), regarding the controversy that arose during the Netball Federation of India’s election and voting process. Following the hearing of the petition, filed on petition number CWP-24929-2026, the Hon’ble Court has ordered a stay on the NFI election results. Advocate Amninderpreet and Advocate Mahal stated that following the High Court’s order, the future course of action regarding the results of the Federation’s election will depend on the court’s action. They stated that the High Court’s orders must be followed in this matter, and the remaining legal and factual aspects of the case will be considered during the next hearing.
Notably, netball players, officials, and various state units are now closely monitoring the High Court’s further action. The situation regarding the election results is likely to become clear only after the court’s next order.
