SENIOR JOURNALISTS FORUM TO CELEBRATE FIRST ANNIVERSARY ON SEPTEMBER 13

GOVERNOR GULAB CHAND KATARIA AND RAJYA SABHA MP SATNAM SINGH SANDHU TO GRACE THE OCCASION AS CHIEF GUESTS

The Senior Journalists Forum (SJF), Chandigarh, will celebrate its first anniversary on Sunday, September 13, at the Law Auditorium, Sector 37, Chandigarh. The event will bring together senior journalists, media professionals and well-wishers to celebrate the Forum’s journey and deliberate upon the vital role of journalism in strengthening democracy.

According to Sh Jagtar Singh Sidhu President of forum that Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, will be the Chief Guest for the inaugural session, while S. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Rajya Sabha MP and Chancellor, Chandigarh University, will grace the second session as Chief Guest.

The programme will commence with registration and welcome at 10:00 a.m., followed by the inauguration at 10:30 a.m. The second session, scheduled for 12:30 p.m., will focus on the topic “Role of Senior Journalists in Democracy and Responsible Journalism.” The session will be chaired by Ramesh Vinayak, Executive Editor, Hindustan Times, Chandigarh. The celebrations will also feature a Malwai Giddha cultural programme presented by the Malwa Art and Culture Society, Mohali.
