Raj Sadosh/Sriganganagar.

Sriganganagar Superintendent of Police Hari Shankar Yadav honored the farmer who immediately informed and recovered the consignment of heroin and opium dropped by Pakistan through drone last week in Rawla border area, by visiting his house today.

Packets were dropped by drone in the field of farmer Sant Ram in 14 KND-A village of Rawla police station area at around 1 am in the night. After being immediately informed by him, the police found a total of 12 packets in the search of the field. About 5 kg 615 grams of heroin and 508 grams of opium were recovered.

Initial investigation revealed that the consignment was dropped through a drone from Pakistan. Police and BSF launched a search operation in the area, but the Indian smugglers who had come to collect this consignment could not be caught.
