THE CIA FAZILKA TEAM APPREHENDS 2 ACCUSED WITH 2.143 KG OF HEROIN

The CIA Fazilka team arrested two drug traffickers and recovered 2 kg 143 grams of heroin from them.

SSP Gagan Ajit Singh said that under the leadership of Inspector Sunil Kumar, In-charge CIA Fazilka, ASI Ranjit Singh along with a police party was patrolling in the area of Police Station City Fazilka when two suspects were seen on the Mohalla Anandpur- Awa link road. From the kit bag in their possession, 2 kg 143 grams of heroin was recovered. They were identified as Swaran Singh, resident of Basti Kesar Singh (Police Station Guruharsahai), and Gurpreet Singh, resident of Anandpur Mohalla, Fazilka. A case under Sections 21(C), 29/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against them and further investigation is underway.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused Gurpreet Singh was supplied this heroin by Jaj Singh, resident of Sidhu Wala (Jalalabad), and it was to be further supplied ahead. Jaj Singh has also been named in the case. He will be arrested and further action will be taken. Jaj Singh has previously been involved in some criminal cases
