THIRD DAY OF THE BARSANA PRAKAT UTSAV IN CHANDIGARH: ENTIRE PANDAL RESOUNDED WITH THE MAHAMANTRA

Face2News/Chandigarh

On the third day of the seven-day Srimad Bhagwat Katha by Pundarik Goswami in Chandigarh, the entire pandal appeared immersed in the divine nectar (*Rasa*) of Radha Raman. The entire venue vibrated with energy as the crowd swayed to the chanting of the Mahamantra.

Pundarik Goswami Ji declared that this pandal has transformed into Barsana itself; he urged everyone to partake—as much as they possibly could—in the divine wealth of chanting Radha’s name. He remarked that one can attain *Krishna Prema* (love for Krishna) simply by watching a Vaishnava dance during *Sankirtan*; however, the experience of dancing oneself is truly unparalleled. Goswami Ji drew an analogy: just as people mark worldly possessions to claim ownership—writing “this belongs to me”—similarly, the *Srimad Bhagavat* places a mark upon a devotee, signifying, “this devotee belongs to Thakur Ji,” while Radha Raman Ji places His own mark, declaring, “this one belongs to Me.”

He further explained that if food is available but there is no vessel to hold it, consuming that food becomes impossible. In the same vein, if one possesses curiosity (*Jigyasa*) but lacks faith (*Shraddha*), true knowledge cannot be attained. To acquire knowledge, both curiosity and faith are indispensable.

Harsh Sharma, founder of the Tejaswini Foundation, encouraged everyone to become a part of this sacred discourse. The *Barsana Prakat Utsav*—which commenced with the *Srimad Bhagavat Katha* (titled *Shri Radha Ras Bhagavat Katha*)—is scheduled to run from April 12th to April 18th. Children from the Nimai Pathshala also presented a theatrical performance today.

Vinod Sharma Ji, representing the Gauri Shankar Sevadal Gaushala (Cow Shelter) in Chandigarh, announced that this seven-day spiritual program will continue until April 18th, with daily sessions held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Entry is free for all devotees. Additionally, free *Langar* (community kitchen) service is being provided on all seven days.

The *Katha* is being organized with deep reverence by the Gauri Shankar Sevadal Gaushala (Sector 45, Chandigarh) and the Tejaswini Foundation (Panchkula), with the participation of numerous social and religious organizations from across the Tri-city region.
