WORKSHOP RAISES AWARENESS AMONG RETAILERS ABOUT DUPLICATE PRODUCTS

Face2News/Mohali

A workshop aimed at creating awareness among retailers about the harmful impact of duplicate and counterfeit products was organised on Tuesday evening at Hotel Glades, Phase 1, Mohali, under the aegis of the Punjab branch of the Federation of Retailer Association of India. Around 60 retailers participated in the workshop.

The programme was presided over by Mr Ram Milan Gaur. Mr Mukesh Kumar Tiwari addressed the retailers and apprised them of the risks and losses associated with duplicate products, besides highlighting the importance of remaining vigilant while purchasing and selling goods.

Mr Varun, President of the Mohali Association, said that many retailers may unknowingly sell duplicate products. He said such workshops help traders identify counterfeit products and make informed decisions while conducting their business.

He appealed to citizens to boycott counterfeit and tax-evaded products. He said strict compliance with the country’s tax system is essential for India’s economic growth and development.

The Federation of Retailer Association of India is a non-profit organisation working for the welfare and interests of retailers across the country for several years. The Punjab branch, known as the Mohali Association, has also been working for the interests of retailers in the region for the past seven years.
