REKHA RANI WINS BEST ACTRESS AWARD AT NATIONAL DRAMA FESTIVAL

The team of Government Senior Secondary School, Dabwala Kalan has brought laurels by achieving a significant success at the National Level Science Drama Festival held at Birla Industrial and Technological Museum, Kolkata under the auspices of the National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Government of India. This achievement reflects the creative and academic potential of the students of government schools of Punjab. 

Kuljit Bhatti (Writer/Director/Science Teacher) at the Dabwala Kalan school confirmed that in a tough competition, Rekha Rani, a student, won the 'Best Actress (Female)' award with her impressive performance. 

The award-winning Hindi play 'Deep Jalane Wo Ai' was written, directed and composed by Kuljit Bhatti, while Veeran Kaur played the role of co-director.

In this performance, Rekha Rani, Anu, Harmandeep Kaur, Palak, Simranjit Kaur, Anjali, Ramandeep Kaur and Khushnoor Kaur played different roles effectively. Technical support was provided by Prabhsimranjit Kaur, Diksha and Jashanpreet Kaur.

Special thanks were extended to Madan Ghorela, Lecturer of History at Government Senior Secondary School, Kandhwala, Hazar Khan, who took charge of the large drama set. Principal Subhash Narula and the school staff made a significant contribution.

This achievement was possible with the able guidance and support of State Nodal Officer Raminderjit Kaur, District Education Officer (Secondary) Ajay Sharma, District Nodal Officer Vikas Grover and BRC Satinder Sachdeva.
