MP (Rajya Sabha) Sanjeev Arora has made an appeal to people of Punjab to follow the path shown by Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

In a message on Parkash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, he said the Sikh guru spoke of one God, universal brotherhood, love, humility, simplicity, equality and tolerance. He added the Guru's teachings were more relevant in today’s time.

He said, “Let us imbibe the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and strive for a society where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, irrespective of their caste, creed, religion, or gender. Let us work towards fostering amity and understanding among different communities.”

Arora said on this holy occasion, he wished that may the spirit of Guru Nanak's teachings inspire everyone to spread kindness, love and unity.

Further, Arora said it is a matter of joy for people of Punjab that as per the announcement of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann the state government is starting 42 citizen-centric services at the doorsteps of the people from Guru Nanak Jayanti. He added this is a people-friendly step of the state government on this sacred occasion.
