The sleuths belonging to Special Task Force (STF) of Punjab Police have arrested three smugglers including a woman and recovered one kg heroin from their possession.
While divulging the details, Bhupinder Singh AIG STF said that following the inputs, the STF sleuths had laid a naka during which the STF nabbed two accused identified as Raj Singh alias Karan and Chhinderpal Singh, both residents of Gazniwala village and recovered one kg heroin from them.
(SUBHEAD)Both the accused were booked at STF Police station in Mohali (FIR No. 321 Dated 16.10.2023).
In other case , the STF sleuths nabbed a woman identified as Satpal Kaur, resident of Dhani Nava Qila in Lakho ke Behram area and recovered 50 gram heroin from her. Following the recovery Satpal Kaur was booked under NDPS Act at STF Police station in Mohali (FIR No. 320 Dated 16.10.2023).
It is pertinent to mention here that this year the STF has registered 56 FIRs and have recovered 12.515 kg heroin, 15.500 kg opium, 21000 intoxicating tablets, 20 kg poppy husk Rs. 53000/- of drug money, one pistol and magazine along with three live rounds.
