NINE SRI LANKAN NATIONALS TRYING TO VISIT CANADA BY CHEATING INDIAN IMMIGRATION AND TWO AGENTS CONVICTED BY COURT.

ELEVEN NOTORIOUS AGENTS/CHEATERS WERE ARRESTED, DUPING PEOPLE ON THE PRETEXT OF SENDING THEM TO FOREIGN SHORES IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2023. ACCUSED PERSONS IN A TOTAL OF 103 CASES OF PS IGI AIRPORT WERE CONVICTED BY THE HON’BLE COURT IN THE YEAR 2023.

With the arrest of one high-profile agent, the team of PS IGI Airport has busted an immigration racket and succeeded in solving a case vide FIR No. 537/2023 dated 03.09.2023 U/s 419/420 IPC & 12 PP Act PS IGI Airport, Delhi. Further in continuation of its stringent drive against the agents involved in immigration frauds the team of IGI Airport has been successful in arresting 10 more agents in 08 different cases in the last month. Further, in 103 cases of PS IGI Airport, accused persons were convicted by the Hon’ble Court in the year 2023 with the professional manner of IOs.

A case FIR No. 537/2023 u/s 419/420 IPC & 12 PP act was registered at PS IGI Airport on the complaint of BOI staff, wherein it was alleged that one Indian passenger namely Deepak Verma holding Emergency Certificate Number X0722358 with stamp No. A-2-536 was deported from London at IGI Airport, New Delhi by Flight No. UK-018 and handed over to the Deportee Cell by concerned airlines for immigration clearance.

During immigration clearance, his last departure details were neither found in the UCF nor pax could reveal the passport details on which he traveled to London indicating that pax traveled on someone else’s passport. On the complaint of immigration officials, the above-mentioned case FIR was registered, and the investigation was taken up.

ARREST AND INVESTIGATION: A team consisting of SI Saveen and HC Birju under the leadership of Inspr. Yashpal Singh, SHO/IGI Airport, and overall supervision of ACP/IGI Airport were continuously keeping surveillance on the accused. During the course of the investigation accused passenger Deepak Verma disclosed that his journey was arranged by agent Barinder Singh S/o Sh. Jaspal Singh R/o Uchi Rurki, P.O Machrai Kalan, P.S- Amloh, Distt. Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab after taking Rs. 17 Lakhs from him. He was sent to the UK in 2021 on someone else’s passport.

(SUBHEAD)On 05.09.2023, with the help of technical surveillance accused agent Barinder Singh S/o Sh. Jaspal Singh was arrested from Capitol Hills Hotel, Greater Kailash, Delhi. He disclosed that he used to send people abroad through illegal means and took money for the same. He came in contact with Deepak Verma in the year 2021 and allured him to send U.K and took a total of 17 lakh rupees from Deepak Verma partly in cash and a bank account.

KNOW THE ACCUSED:  Barinder Singh (aged 30 years) S/o Sh. Jaspal Singh R/o Uchi Rurki, P.O Machrai Kalan, P.S- Amloh, Distt. Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. He is involved in sending people abroad through illegal means.

Further, the IGI Airport unit is committed to its pledge to take stringent action against agents involved in immigration fraud and to protect people from being duped by fake immigration agencies. Apart from the above-mentioned agent, 10 other agents have been arrested in 07 different cases in the last month. The details of the arrested agents are as under: –

1.) In FIR No. 211/2023, Dated 06.04.2023, U/S 419/420/120B IPC, PS IGI Airport, New Delhi agent Satnam Singh @ Jaggi (aged 40 years) S/o Gurdip Singh R/o VPO Sehga, Teh Dasuya, Distt Hoshiyarpur, Punjab was arrested on 03.09.2023. He had sent the accused passenger to Paris on someone else’s passport through illegal means.

2.) In FIR No. 322/2023, Dated 17.05.2023, U/S 420/468/471 IPC, PS IGI Airport, New Delhi agent Jaskaran Singh @ Jagjeet Singh (aged 42 years) S/o Mehman Singh R/o S-008/50, Ranjitgarh Colony, Chamkor Sahib, Punjab was arrested on 09.09.2023. Agent Jaskaran Singh had arranged forged type c Switzerland Visa. Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to arrest the remaining agents.

3.) In FIR No. 541/2023, Dated 07.09.2023, U/S 420/468/471 IPC & 12 PP Act, PS IGI Airport, New Delhi agent Gurdeep Singh @ Bitto Tailor S/o Jogender Singh R/o Vill Sajjan, PO Dasuya, Distt Hoshiyarpur, Punjab was arrested on 10.09.2023. Agent Gurdeep Singh had arranged the journey of the passenger. Further investigation is in progress.

4.) In FIR No. 542/2023 Dated 07.09.2023 U/s 420/468/471 IPC & 12 PP Act P.S IGI Airport agent namely Sushil Kumar Kaushik (aged 51 years) S/o Madan Lal R/o Acharya Mohalla, Ward No. 6, Patiala, Punjab was arrested on 18.09.2023. Agent Sushil Kumar Kaushik had arranged the journey of the passenger. Further investigation is in progress.

5.) In FIR No. 555/2023, dated 15.09.2023, U/s 420/468/471 IPC & 12 Passport Act P.S IGI Airport agent namely Sandeep Singh (aged 30 years) S/o Sadik Singh R/o H. No. 79, Gali No. 2, Gurunanak Avenue, Amritsar, Punjab was arrested on 18.09.2023. Agent Sandeep Singh had arranged the journey of the passenger. Further investigation is in progress.

6.) In FIR No. 68/2023 U/s 419/420/468/471/120B IPC & 12 PP Act, P.S IGI Airport agent namely Randeep Singh (aged 37 Years) S/o Rameshwar Singh R/o H. No. 30B, Royal State, Guru Amar Dass Avenue, Amritsar, Punjab was arrested on 20.09.2023. In the present case, he had arranged the journey of the passenger. Further investigation is in progress.

7.) In FIR No. 549/2023, dated 26.09.2023, U/s 420/468/471 IPC & 12 Passport Act P.S IGI Airport agent namely Pishora Singh (aged 47 years) S/o Gurdeep Singh R/o Village Shergarh, Gurham, Punjab was arrested on 26.09.2023. Agent Pishora Singh had arranged the journey of the passenger. Further investigation is in progress.

8.) In FIR No. 401/2023, dated 10.07.2023, U/s 420/120B IPC P.S IGI Airport agents namely (1) Sumit Yadav (aged 29 Years) S/o Mahesh Chand Yadav R/o Rajiv Nagar, Distt Udham Nagar, Uttrakhand (2) Mohd. Suhail (aged 28 years) S/o Iqrar Hasan R/o H. No. 114, Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh and (3) Anjali (aged 23 years) D/o Ram Raj Maurya R/o H. No. 1425, Gali No. 8/1, Sangam Vihar, Delhi were arrested. They had arranged the journey of the passenger. Further investigation is in progress.

Further, Nine Sri Lankan Nationals and two agents who were arrested in Case FIR No. 534/2023 dated 28.05.2023 u/s 420/120B IPC PS IGI Airport were convicted by the Hon’ble Trial Court with the professional investigation of IO. Further, accused persons arrested in 103 cases of PS IGI Airport were convicted by the Hon’ble Court in the year 2023 with the professional manner of IOs.
