A delegation of Punjab Nursing Colleges Association met Dr. Rajeev Sood, Vice Chancellor, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences at Faridkot and discussed the problems related to nursing colleges with him.

(MOREPIC1)(SUBHEAD)Association’s general secretary Dr. Sahil Mittal said that at present the counselling of M. Sc (Nursing) and BSC (Nursing) is going on in the colleges related to the university and the university has taken one year's fee in this connection. Which is a complete injustice to the student community. Either the university administration should waive off the fees or the same should be halved for a few months besides allowing payment in instalments. With this, the students will get some relief and admissions in the affiliated colleges will also increase.

Dr. Mittal said that the University has not yet declared the results of post-basic B.Sc (Nursing) for 2018-19, 2019-20, this affects about 1400 students. The association has demanded to provide relief to the students by releasing the results as soon as possible. Along with this, other issues were also discussed with Dr. Rajeev Sood.

The VC, while assuring the delegation, said that along with considering the issues raised by the Association during the meeting of the Board of Management, it will be his endeavour to give priority to the issues related to the students.

Dr. Fateh Mann, Dr. Malti Thapar, Dr. Manjeet Dhillon, Dr. Sarbjit Singh, Puneet Bawa, Shiv Arya, Dr. BL Bansal, Honey Chahal etc. were present.
