50 STUDENTS SELECTED AT ARYANS SCHOLARSHIP MELA IN FAZILKA

Around 50 eligible students were selected under the SC / ST Scholarship Scheme scholarship at the Aryans Scholarship Mela held in Fazilka.

Chief guest Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development, Food Processing said that in the past SC students were not given the seats in the big cities. Now needy and deserving students of this backward area will get the opportunity to study in Engineering, Law, Pharmacy, Nursing, Paramedical, Management etc in Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh free of cost.

(SUBHEAD)MLA Narinder Pal Singh Siwana said that Dr. Anshu Kataria has studied in 1983-88 in Fazilka & since he has his roots in Fazilka. He has started serving this area & taken the initiative to provide higher education to needy students on scholarship basis. Now the students of this region will also make their dream of studying near a big city like Chandigarh true.

Karan Gilhotra said that in last 2-3 years around 150-200 students of this area are studying at Aryans & strengthening their goal to achieve a good career.

Bhura Ram, Director, Gurukul Education Welfare Society said that in this program, SC/ ST students would be given free education while on the other hand General students have also been selected for partial scholarship as per Govt rules.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal was also present at the function.
