SPECIAL SEARCH OPERATION CONDUCTED BY POLICE TO CURB THE DRUG MENACE

In order to curb the drug menace and tighten the noose around the drug peddlers, a special search operation had been carried out by the police in Guruharsahai today. While divulging details Deepak Hilori SSP said that in this search operation several police officials including a SP rank official, two DSPs, six inspectors and hundreds of police constables were involved.

(SUBHEAD)“Besides, the police is also holding public meetings with the villagers at Ghulami Wala in Arif ke area, Valmiki colony and Basti Shekhwa in city area, Madhre, Chhanga Rai Uthar in Guruharsahai, Vakeela Wali, Basti Mashiyan and Khanna in Zira, Bhawra Azam Shah in Mamdot block and Mudki in Ghallkhurd block in which more than 500 villagers were got involved. The villagers were made aware about the impacts of drug usage and were encouraged to leave the drug addiction”, said SSP Hilori.

SP Randhir Kumar said that besides, special police teams have been conducting the regular visits of De-addiction centres, OOAT (Out Patient Opioid Assisted Treatment) centres, Primary Health Centres. The police officials have been coordinating with the in-charges of these centres so that maximum people could get benefit from them”,
