FAZILKA DC FLAGS OFF HARIYALI OXY VAN

The Graduate Welfare Association Fazilka has taken the 'Green initiative' in association with the department of forest and wild life conservation, Government of Punjab.

As a part of the initiative Deputy Commissioner Fazilka Dr. Senu Duggal flagged off the Hariyali Oxy van from the district administrative complex. Robin Hood Army and Naujawan Samaj Sewa Sansthan have also extended their support in the campaign.

(SUBHEAD)The DC said that this van will provide free saplings to the people of the district. She added that more than 3 lakh saplings have been planted by the administration during the last two months.

She said that if any other organization wanted to contribute towards the campaign, then the administration will provide them saplings for free. Under the campaign, various types of fruits, flowering, shady plants will be distributed at doorsteps, she added.

Dr. Duggal exhorted the people to give top priority to environmental conservation and begin it by planting one sapling near their houses which would be given to them free of cost.
