In a tragic incisdent the roof of a Government Senior Secondary School located in Baddowal village in Ludhiana Distt, suddenly collapsed on Wednesday where four school teachers were buried in the rubble of the roof. They were rescued by the Police, rescue team and were rished to nearby hospitral where one lady teacher was sucummbed to injures.
Three other teachers are still in hospital.
No student is reported to have been injured in the accident. It is said that the place where the roof fell in the school. The teacher was present here at the time of the accident and was having a conversation.
Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has expressed grief over this accident. The Minister of Education tweeted, “We have received very sad information from the Government Senior Secondary School Baddowal (District Ludhiana) that during the construction of the school building, four teachers were buried in the debris due to the fall of the lantern, one of them has died. . I have asked all the officials of the Education Department and the District Administration Ludhiana to provide all possible assistance immediately. I pray to God to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the entire family to bear this tragic loss.
