Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, former SAD MLA of Khadoor Sahib constituency in Punjab and Chairman of Punjab Rural Development Society (PRDS), an NGO, on Tuesday held discussions with former Minister of medical education and senior leader of National Conference Sheikh Dr. Mustfa Kamal at his residence in Srinagar.

(MOREPIC1)Both Sheikh Kamal and Brahmpura discussed the problem of drugs in Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir. On the lines of Jammu & Kashmir, we have also formed Punjab Rural Development Society.

Brahmpura was invited by Sheikh Dr. Mustafa Kamal for morning tea. During this course, the two leaders shared their views on how social welfare policies will be implemented Punjab and Kashmir from this moment.

“The Punjab is facing the problem of drugs and now, the media reports have also brought to the light that the hill state is also have seen an unprecedented drug abuse. So our NGOs, with the help of each other, educate the society to stand up against the menace of drugs. We also demand from the Union and State governments to take strong and necessary steps to curb the supply of drugs,”said Ravinder Singh Brahmpura.

He further said that they have also discussed that their NGO will also try to uplift the lives of poor children and girls.

“The society will try its best to invest its time and resources for the skill development among the deserving children. Apart from this, we would work towards the promotion of Hockey and other sports to inculcate the spirit of competition, team work and discipline among the players. It will also save the youth from falling into the trap of drug addiction,”said Brahmpura.

According to Brahmpura, they also took up the issue of orphan children.

“The Covid-19 and now floods have left many children orphans. We would try to accommodate those orphan children in schools for education and also provide whatever help is required in this regard. Above all, he have decided to develop a school in his constituency Khadoor Sahib, Tarn Taran, in the future where only special children will be educated, “Brahmpura.

JKRDS Chairman Sports, Jenab. Raja Ghulam Nabi Wani and youth leader Kanwar Sandhu Brahmpura was also specially present in this meeting.
