The Independence Day evening retreat ceremony at the Sadiqi post on the international border adjacent to Fazilka was filled with special zeal and passion. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal shared the happiness of Independence Day with BSF jawans. She also presented sweets to the jawans. On the occasion, District and Sessions Judge Jatinder Kaur, SSP Manjit Singh Dhesi, MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna, senior officers of BSF were also present.
The DC said that August 15 is a national festival for us and on this day, we remember those who sacrificed their lives for the achievement and protection of our freedom, on this day we also have a new concept for the progress of our country.
Similar to Attari JCP and Hussainiwala border, a retreat ceremony is held every day at Fazilka's Sadiqi Chowki, not only people of the district but also from far away come to witness the parade.
DC Dr. Senu Duggal along with the people hoisted the tricolor and raised patriotic slogans.
