WILL ORGANISE BI-YEARLY STATE LEVEL MEETINGS WITH THE DEPENDENTS OF FREEDOM FIGHTERS FROM NOW ONWARDS

Punjab Freedom Fighter Affairs Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra announced that the demands of dependents of Punjab state will be addressed soon. While presiding over a meeting with the dependents of freedom fighters here at Punjab Civil Secretariat, cabinet minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra said that the Punjab government is committed to develop the state as per the vision of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. He said that their government has continuously been working to ensure due respect to the families of freedom fighters. The minister also met the family members of seven freedom fighters recently.

During the meeting, representatives of Akhil Bharti Freedom Fighters Organisation, Freedom Fighter Uttraadhikari Association(196) and Freedom Fighter Uttraadhikari Association Punjab’ made the minister aware of their demands.

(SUBHEAD)While replying to the representatives in a positive note, Minister Jauramajra said that the state government has been providing facilities to the families of freedom fighters as an honour and if any dependent family was facing any difficulties, the same will definitely be addressed. The minister also directed the officials during the meeting to organise state level meeting after every six months. He also directed the officials of districts concerned to ensure due respect to the families of freedom fighters.

PSPCL Chairman Baldev Singh Sran, Special Chief Secretary Raji P. Srivastava, Secretary Gaggandip Singh, Apneet Riyat and other officials were also present in the meeting.
