FC MEMBER INSPECTS RATIONS DEPOTS, ANGANWARI CENTERS

Punjab State Food Commission member Chetan Prakash Dhaliwal inspected distribution of wheat to the beneficiaries, facilities available in Anganwari Centers and mid-day meal distribution process in different schools. He said that under the National Food Security Act, 2013, wheat should be distributed only to the eligible beneficiaries.

Dhaliwal visited food distribution centers in villages of Chak Maujdinwala, Chak Daman and Chak Sotrian. He said that the process of distribution of wheat should be conducted in a fair and transparent manner. Wheat should be given to the genuine beneficiaries as per the government norms and fairness must be observed.

He also visited Government School Baghe Ke Uttar and Anganwari Center Ghubaya village and checked the food being given to the students under the mid-day scheme and instructed to ensure that only high-quality food is given to the students.

He instructed the depot holders to follow the instructions of the government in letter and spirit. The member talked to the beneficiaries on the spot.
