With the objective of making the city clean and green, MLA Sandeep Jakhar organized another cleanliness and beautification camp on the state highway (Hanumangarh Road) under Apna Abohar Apna Abha campaign. Mayor Vimal Thatai was among those present.
The MLA said that to enhance the beauty of the city, a cleaning campaign was conducted and more than 400 saplings were also planted, earlier 500 plants had been planted here. “We are paying special attention to the maintenance of the saplings growing as plants courtesy the Jakhar Trust.
(SUBHEAD)Thanks to the cooperation of the citizens, Abohar's name has been removed from the dirty cities list. There has been a lot of improvement in cleanliness, but more needs to be done, which is possible only with the active involvement of the residents. They should completely stop using single-use plastic to ensure smooth working of the waste water disposal system.
Mayor Vimal Thatai said the Abohar Municipal Corporation has got first position among all the corporations in the state in Swachhta Abhiyan, contribution of Apna Abohar Apni Abha team was commendable.
Ashutosh Maharaj's disciples served refreshments to the volunteers on the occasion.
