Deputy Commissioner cum Commissioner Abohar Municipal Corporation Dr. Senu Duggal on Wednesday launched the Garbage Collection Fee app here in the presence of Mayor Vimal Thatai.
(MOREPIC1) The Commissioner said that in the IT era, making hard work smart is the need of the hour. Previously, the MC used to collect the fee by staff for door-to-door garbage collection from houses and shops manually, due to which many difficulties were faced in maintaining and searching the record, but now with the app, complete records will be maintained. There will be transparency in receipt and payments.
Dr. Duggal said that the app has been launched in Abohar city for the first time considering the convenience of the city residents. The due fee can be paid through the online medium on the app instead of paying cash.
A beneficiary's Garbage Collection Fee Receipt was also issued through the app.
Dr. Duggal said that to maintain the beautification of the city, fees are charged from the houses and shopkeepers at reasonable rates fixed by the government. She appealed to the residents to pay the fee on timeand fulfill the responsibility in keeping the city beautiful.
