Vicky Middukhera Foundation, a city based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) named after late Vikramjeet Singh Middukhera a well known Youth Akali Dal leader has provided financial assistance to rain affected families of Chappar Chiri, in Mohali.

The funds were given by the foundation’s President, Ajaypal Singh Middukhera, brother of Vicky Middukhera to the two families, whose houses collapsed due to heavy rains. Some members of the families also received grievous injuries.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajaypal Singh Middukhera said that the unprecedented rain has affected the normal lives of people and has caused a huge impact on poor people, who earn their livelihood by doing daily labour.

He said that the members of the foundation visited the village and found that many houses were damaged due to flash floods and rains. Among them, there were two most affected families whose roof had collapsed and family members were injured who are being treated at the Civil Hospital, Mohali. Such families have been given financial aid for the house damage and medical treatment by the Foundation.

He said that soon the foundation will make a list of the condition of this entire village and hand it over to the Deputy Commissioner, Mohali. He also has urged the administration to take appropriate action in this regard.
