A meeting of Arorvansh Sabha’s Women Wing was held at Arorvansh Dharamshala here. Ex MC Suvarsha Narang, Wing’s Chairperson Geetu Bathla, MC Namita Setia, President Ritu Beri, Dr. Sneh Chugh and Sushma Dhawan lit the traditional lamp to inaugurate the programme.
Rakesh Chhabra, President of Arorvansh Sabha, said that women power is the foundation of the upliftment of the society. Without their cooperation, progress of any society cannot be expected. Due to this, the women's wing has been formed by the Arorvansh Sabha and they have been made aware of their responsibilities. He informed that a statue of Martyr Madan Lal Dhingra will be installed here.
Presiding over the program, Dr. Jagdish Takkar said that women are expected to make a better contribution in the upliftment of the society by combating the orthodox evils.
Suvarsha Narang was nominated as Chief Advisor, Namita Setia as Vice Chairperson, Anju Arora and Prem Setia will serve as general secretaries.
Some hardworking women of the city were felicitated by the organisers on the occasion.
