NDRF AND POLICE TEAMS RESCUED NINE PERSONS AMONG CHILDREN AND WOMEN TRAPPED IN WATER

NDRF team and Police party with the help of local residents rescued nine people among pregnant women and children and taken to safe places. to FWater was flooded at many places in village Sundra. 

ASP Derabassi Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia told that a flood-like situation was prevailing in the area. Different teams of police were stationed everywhere. Meanwhile, it was found that 9 people including children were trapped in a hut at village Sundra in 8 to 10 feet water.

(SUBHEAD)As soon as the information was received, Derabassi police station chief Jaskanwal Singh Sekhon along with his team reached the spot, along with the NDRF team and the villagers also reached the spot with a boat. He told that through a joint operation, 9  persons including pregnant women and children  trapped in the water were taken out in time and taken to a safe place.

ASP Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia and other police station chiefs along with all the police officers, team of administrative officers, team of fire brigade were deployed in the area since morning to deal with the flood situation.

Apart from this, constituency MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa was also present in the constituency from this morning and kept taking stock of the situation.

Meanwhile report  said the rain water flooded in Gulmohar City of Derabassi where the people using boats.
