On 03rd June 2023 at about 0250 AM, Joint ambush party of Border Security Force & Punjab Police heard mild buzzing sound of drone and dropping of consignment at the outskirts of village – Rai, Distt – Amritsar.
Further, during search of the area, troops recovered a big consignment containing 05 packets of suspected Narcotics, from a farming field of Village – Rai, Distt – Amritsar. An iron ring was also found attached with the consignment.
The Gross weight of the recovered consignment of suspected narcotics (Heroin) is appx – 5.5 Kgs., which values over 28 crores in international market.
Another nefarious attempt of Pakistan to smuggle contrabands, foiled due to joint efforts and timely action by BSF & Punjab Police.
