CLASS 9TH STUDENTS OF VIVEK HIGH SCHOOL, MOHALI STAGE PLAY ‘LAUNG DA LISHKARA’

Class 9th students of Vivek High School, Mohali staged their Annual Production 2023 – a beautiful play ‘Laung Da Lishkara’ at the auditorium of Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, here.

The play is written by Neena Tiwana, a veteran actor of the movie ‘Laung Da Lishkara’ and directed by Manpal Tiwana. Notably, the musical play is adapted from the iconic 1983 movie ‘Laung Da Lishkara’. Neena Tiwana was present at the event and Nirmal Rishi, the Gulabo Maasi of the movie also graced the occasion. The presence of these two stalwarts of the entertainment industry elevated the charm of the show.

(MOREPIC3)(SUBHEAD)Harbina Randhawa, Principal of Vivek High School, Mohali lauded the successful display of talent by the students and acknowledged the support of the director, teachers, parents and support staff in ensuring that the show was a grand success. “The students prepared hard for a month and finally they wholeheartedly immersed themselves in this remarkable event.”

Seventy four (74) buoyant children showcased their remarkable theatre skills to precision, which left the audience mesmerised. The play was presented in the backdrop of beautiful sets and the young actors' adorned realistic costumes which were specially designed for the production.

The parents of the participants cheered zestfully for their wards, who flawlessly executed the meticulously prepared theatrical ensemble. The atmosphere was brimming with exuberance and a tangible sense of accomplishment was quite evident amongst the students.
