A campaign to save birds from scorching heat was launched at Bishnoi Mandir here. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal was the chief guest of the function in which Bishnoi Community members participated and pledged to arrange for drinking water and feed pots for the birds by placing earthen bowls at different places in the open wildlife sanctuary daily and fill them with water.
(MOREPIC1) DC Dr. Duggal said if we want to keep our environment clean, then we have to protect the birds as they are very good friends along with making the environment beautiful. She appreciated the efforts of the Bishnoi community and said everyone should find such a place around our homes, where most of the birds sit. Protection of animals and birds and provision of food and water is considered a meritorious act, they also play an important role in our life.
She said that the balance of nature is maintained with the existence of animals and trees who have an important role to create a good and perfect environment. It is our responsibility to serve animals. She said that like the Bishnoi community, other citizens should also contribute to this campaign. Feed-water should be provided for animals.
