Border Security Force troops deployed at border, heard buzzing sound of a suspected flying object (drone) entering from Pakistan into Indian territory in the area near Village – Dhanoe Kalan, Distt – Amritsar on Saturday at about 2022 hours, . As per the laid down drill, troops immediately reacted to intercept the drone by firing.
(MOREPIC1) The troops deployed in depth area also heard the sound of drone and dropping of something in the wheat fields on the outskirts of Village – Dhanoe Kalan, Distt – Amritsar.
During initial search of the area, BSF troops recovered 01 big bag containing 03 packets of narcotics suspected to be Heroin (Gross wt – appx 03 Kg), from the wheat field. One iron ring with hook and 04 luminous strips were also found attached with the consignment.
Yet another attempt of Pak smugglers to smuggle the contraband items was foiled by vigilant BSF troops.
