Border Security Force (BSF) troops on Thursday at about 2250 hours, deployed at border, heard buzzing sound of a suspected flying object (drone) entering from Pakistan into Indian territory in the area near Village – Maharkhewa Mansa in District – Fazilka. The contraband valued Rs. 43 crores in international market.
As per laid down drill, troops immediately reacted to intercept the drone by firing. 2. During initial search in the depth area, BSF troops recovered one big bag consisting two packets of Heroin consignment from the wheat fields of Village – Maharkhewa Mansa, Distt – Fazilka.
(MOREPIC2)(MOREPIC3)Later, Punjab Police team also reached the spot and further during joint search operation, another big bag containing 02 packets of Heroin was recovered from the wheat field adjacent to the earlier recovered bag.
Hooks/rings and blinker torches also found attached with both the consignments for easy detection and swift retrieval by the smugglers. The Gross weight of the recovered Heroin consignment is appx – 4.5
Kg. BSF spokesman in Jalandhar, said, another nefarious attempt of narco-terrorism from Pakistan sidefoiled by vigilant BSF troops.
