Former Finance Minister of Punjab and senior leader Manpreet Singh Badal on Wednesday formerly joined BJP amidar peswnce of Piyush Goel. He was not happy on appointment of Raja Warring as Congress State Chief , who defeated him from Gidarbaha.
Manpreet Badal counsin of Sukhbir Badal SAD Chief left Akali Dal and formed his own party People's Party of Punjab (PPP). , which he had merged with Congress seven years ago. He lost vidhan Sabha election from Bathinda.
Manpreet Singh Badal also kept distance from Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra. That is why he has not been seen anywhere since the beginning of the journey in Punjab. According to sources, Manpreet Badal was not taken along in the yatra because of his rift with the present Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warding.
He has sent his resignation letter to Rahul Gandhi .
