Shavi, daughter-in-law of Banwari Lal Garg, senior manager of Punjab Gramin Bank's Kabarwala branch, has done her PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) in Sanskrit language from Maharaja Ganga Singh University.
Shavi obtained a bachelor's degree after primary education in Sriganganagar and obtained a master's degree in Sanskrit from there. She completed her research work under the supervision of guide professor Dr. Ghanshyam Bairwa and has now obtained a PhD degree. She is the wife of Prateek Garg.
