The BJP has won 8 out of 16 seats in the Khuian Sarwar Panchayat Samiti and 2 in the Zila Parishad election.
MLA Sandeep Jakhar felicitated the newly elected members with garlands and sweets. He informed that BJP candidates won from Dhani Kailash Nagar, Dhani Karnail Singh, Diwankhera, Gidderanwali, Kallar Khera, Maujgarh, Daulatpura, and Jandwala Hanwanta getting 50 percent of the seats.
BJP candidates were also elected to the Zila Parishad from Panjkosi and Jandwala Hanwanta zones with big margins. The MLA said that the people have given their verdict against the government for neglecting the entire Abohar assembly constituency in terms of development. Despite resorting to all means, AAP completely failed to ensure the victory of its candidates.
During a conversation in the presence of Mayor Vimal Thatai and senior leader Dhanpat Siyag, Jakhar said that the AAP govt has pushed back the overall development of Abohar in the last four years. The people's anger will also be evident against AAP in the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections. The government has crippled the functioning of the MC by not appointing a regular Commissioner.
Notably, AAP candidates won from Killianwali, Khuian Sarwar, and Panniwala Mahla in the Khuian Sarwar Panchayat Samiti elections. Congress won from Seed Farm Pakka and Panjkosi, SAD won from Danewala Satkosi, Gumjal, and Dalmir Khera (by toss).
