The staff of PS Sultan Puri have arrested one accused who was involved in the case FIR No. 681/22 dated 03/08/2022 U/s 324/506/24 IPC namely Rohit S/o Phool Chand R/o D-15, Mangolpuri, Delhi aged 19 years and his friend namely Ashu S/o Amba Lal R/o D-50 Mangolpuri, Delhi aged 24 years along with the recovery of one button-dar knife used in the commission of crime.
On 02/08/2022, a PCR call vide DD No. 149A regarding knife stabbing was received in PS Sultanpuri. On the receipt of call, the emergency officer along with the Beat staff were directed to reach the scene of crime immediately wherein nobody was found at the place of incident and it was informed that all the injured have been taken to SGM Hospital, Mangolpuri, Delhi. Subsequently the local police also reached the hospital and enquired the whole facts from the complainant namely Ram Kumar S/o Ramesh Kumar R/o A-1/19, Sultanpuri, Delhi who stated that his cousin brother namely Rohit along with his friend Ashu stabbed him and his father for telling the misdeed of alleged Rohit to his parents.
Hence a criminal case vide FIR No. 681/22 dated 03/08/2022 U/s 324/506/24 IPC was registered at PS Sultanpuri, Delhi and investigation was taken up.
Considering the gravity of crime, all the beat staff was alerted and two teams of PS Staff headed by SHO Sultanpuri were formed under the supervision of ACP Sultanpuri. One team was tasked to ascertain the whereabouts of alleged accused persons form their relatives and the second team was detailed for verifying the whereabouts of accused at all the DTC/Gramin Sewa Bus Stops and nearest Metro Stations.
As a result, the second team traced both the alleged accused persons from one of the busy bus stops within half an hour and subsequently nabbed them before they could fade away. Hence, suitable action as per law was taken and both the accused persons were arrested as per the procedure of the law.
Mr.Sameer Sharma, IPS, DCP,Outer District,said during detailed interrogation, both the alleged accused namely Rohit and Ashu admitted the commission of offence as per the FIR and they stated that they were in drunken condition.
The accused Ashu disclosed that he had obtained the knife used in the commission of offence from an unknown person from Mangolpuri Bus Stand around 05 months back and gave it to Rohit for taking the revenge. The accused Rohit stated that he did so because he was in drunken condition and he wanted to take the revenge from his relatives (victim uncle and cousin) as they had briefed his misdeeds to his parents. Further investigation is being carried out.
