RENOWNED PHARMA EXPERTS HIGHLIGHTED AI’S ROLE IN DRUG DISCOVERY, PHARMA INNOVATION AND FUTURE HEALTHCARE

Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura Near Chandigarh organized an International Conference on “Integrating AI and Pharmaceutical Research to Reshape the Future of the Pharma Industry.” The conference was conducted in association with the Punjab Branch of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) at Aryans Campus. 

(MOREPIC1)  Dr. Carlota Alonso Pardal, Consultant in Business Development and Health Education, European Institute for Health Care Excellence was Chief Guest. The conference brought together renowned academicians, researchers and industry experts to discuss the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in pharmaceutical research, drug discovery and healthcare innovation.The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation of hundreds of faculty members, researchers and students from various institutions. 

Dr. Carlota said that Artificial Intelligence is revolutionizing healthcare and pharmaceutical innovation globally, and strong collaboration between academia and industry will accelerate drug discovery and improve patient care. 

(SUBHEAD)Dr. Sanyog Jain, Professor & Head, NIPER Mohali and Special Guest, emphasized that AI-based research will significantly reduce drug development time while enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of pharmaceutical studies. 

Prof. Vetriselvan Subramaniyan, Deputy Dean (Medical & Life Sciences), Sunway University, Malaysia, highlighted that pharmaceutical education across the world must integrate AI tools and digital technologies to prepare students for future healthcare challenges. 

Dr. Pardeep Kumar Mattu, Former Joint Commissioner, Punjab Drugs Administration and Executive Director Codentech Pvt. Ltd., stated that regulatory frameworks must evolve along with AI technologies to ensure safe, effective and innovative pharmaceutical products. 

Dr. Gulshan Bansal, Professor & Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Drug Research, Punjabi University Patiala, said that AI has immense potential in drug formulation, pharmacovigilance and personalized medicine, opening new dimensions in pharmaceutical research. 

Dr. Suresh Kumar, Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Punjabi University Patiala and Secretary APTI Punjab, said that the integration of Artificial Intelligence in pharmaceutical sciences will transform research methodologies and enhance the quality of pharmaceutical education and innovation. 

The event was successfully organized by Aryans College of Pharmacy in association with APTI Punjab, with the support of APTI members including Dr. Gulshan Bansal (President), Dr. Subheet Jain (Vice President), Dr. Shailesh Sharma (Vice President-2), Dr. Suresh Kumar (Secretary), Dr. Balbir Singh (Joint Secretary), Dr. Pooja Chawla (Joint Secretary), Dr. Thakur Gurjeet S.
