Legislator Sandeep Jakhar today reviewed the development works that had been started on his initiative in different villages of the area. He visited Tootwala today to inspect the development works and assured people to get their problems resolved at the earliest.
He said that with the aim of restoring the aura of Abohar, many development works were started in the city and villages as per the instructions of former MP Sunil Jakhar. But after the change of power again in the state, officers were being transferred continuously by the Aam Aadmi Party government. Unfortunately, Abhijit Kaplish, Municipal Corporation Commissioner was transferred about two months ago and after that SDM Amit Gupta was also transferred but till now the govt has not decided about their regular successors.
MLA said that earlier SAD leaders had pushed the city towards the plight by ignoring Abohar and now the AAP leaders were following the same path. The city has been made habitable with great difficulty by the team of Municipal Corporation, but by replacing senior officers and not making any permanent appointment in their place, the AAP government has exposed its small mentality. Due to non-availability of permanent commissioner in the MC, many urban development works were in limbo. Abohar urgently needs MC Commissioner and SDM, he said.
