MIGLANI ELECTED WITH A RAZOR THIN MARGIN

Jubliant supporters took out a victory procession to celebrate Ankur Miglani’s election.

Abohar: Ankur Miglani defeated Mool Chand Gera in a very tough contest by just 18 votes when the election results for Shri Arorvansh Sanatan Dharam Mandir (Sabha) Trust Sriganganagar were declared today. The number of voters was 14,980. Voting went on throughout the day on Monday. Around 10,775 voters cast their votes.

(MOREPIC1) Ankur, a leading jeweler, got 5222 votes and Mool Chand Gera got 5204 votes. Meenu, wife of Ankur Miglani, got 39 votes. Some votes were declared invalid. Ankur Miglani's supporters took out a massive procession today evening after the election results were announced. Fireworks were used in abundance. Supporters reached Shri Ram Darbar Mandir making drum beats and playing gulal. After offering prayers, Ankur Miglani reached his home. He is constantly getting an influx of congratulations.

In the afternoon, Ankur reached Arorvansh Public School and Girls College run by the Miglani Trust. There he was welcomed by the staff. He expressed his gratitude while welcoming his election team with a wreath. Later in the evening, he took out a victory procession in the city and thanked all the voters and those who cooperated in the elections. The Trust was established in 1930, Ankur Miglani has become the twentieth chairman of this trust. Earlier his father Ramesh Miglani and grandfather Girdhari Lal Miglani had also served as Chairman.
