Members of Shirmani Akali Dal (Amritsar) Ferozepur today hold a peaceful protest against a national level English Newspaper.
Gurcharan Singh Bhullar District President, Tejinder Singh Deol Vice President of Punjab Youth Wing, Jagjit Singh Officer Secretary, Balwinder Singh, Harpreet Singh, Sukhpreet Singh, Jagsir Singh, Darbara Singh, Darshan Singh, Mohan Singh, Sukhwant Singh, Lakhminder Singh, Amritpal Singh, Prabhjot Singh and others alleged that the newspaper has failed to raise the voice of the Sikhs.
They alleged that the newspaper does not use “Singh” and “Kaur” surname which hurts their sentiments. They said earlier, the paper used to be a true voice of the people but recently it has derailed from its way. They said they holding this peaceful protest so that their voice could reach to the owners of the newspaper.
